Sudoku Agent Swarm

This app visualizes a “swarm” of agents that collectively reduce constraint violations (“stress”) until the Sudoku configuration stabilizes. Each digit (1–9) is represented by multiple agents that move around the board to find low-stress positions.

• Place fixed numbers by dragging digits onto the grid.
• Remove fixed numbers by clicking them.
• Choose a Simulation Mode:
  • Free Mode: agents can move anywhere; start is randomized while preserving correct global digit counts.
  • Box Mode: agents are locked to their 3×3 box; initialization starts with 1–9 in each box.
  • Row Mode: agents are locked to their row; initialization starts with 1–9 in each row.
  • Column Mode: agents are locked to their column; initialization starts with 1–9 in each column.
• Batch Run runs multiple randomized starts and records the number of ticks to reach a near-zero stress state.

• Play / Pause toggles the simulation.
• Reset returns to Setup Phase (keeps fixed numbers).
• Infection Rate: stressed agents spread stress to nearby agents (within 1 cell).
• Sim Speed (ms): delay between ticks.
• Stress Threshold: above this, agents are considered stressed (shown in red) and are more likely to move.
• Panic Randomness: prolonged stress introduces randomness to break deadlocks.
• Desperation (Decay): the longer an agent stays stressed, the lower its movement threshold becomes.
• Crowding Penalty: additional stress for sharing a cell with other agents.

• Row/Col/Box Religion: an agent gains stress if another agent of the same number is in the same row, column, or 3×3 box.
• Row Penalty / Column Penalty / Box Penalty tune how costly each kind of conflict is.
• Stress Accumulation governs how quickly residual stress relaxes back down when conflicts disappear.

• System Stress Level plots total stress over time.
• Run History stores completed runs and lets you export results as CSV.
